Assignment #6 Portraits

Oh My Gosh Portraits! This one was an adventure! We had to do three portraits. Only one could be of someone we knew. The other two had to be someone we had just met and the other of ourselves but not as ourselves. The top is a girl that is in one of my classes, the middle is my roommate and the last is me of course. The inspiration for the one of me came from the National Geographic picture of that girl that has to beautiful hazel eyes. I wanted to do something similar to that but with blue eyes. It wasn't totally successful but I had limited time and funds to try and make it happen!

Assignment #5 Color Theory

I loved this assignment! Even though it was difficult for me creatively, I think this project is the one where I pushed myself out of my comfort zone more than I had before.

Assignment #4 Motion and Depth of Feild

Motion and depth of field... oh the possibilities! I think on this assignment I learned more from what everyone else had on the possibilities of what can be done but I think I ended up with a couple of good ones myself too! I love photography!

Assignment #3 High Key/Low Key

This assignment was probably my worst one. I struggled to find high key and low key subject matter and then I hadn't figured out how to do the white balance setting on my camera or in the editing program very well yet either. Here they are though in all there mediocre glory.

                                            These are the ones my camera said were "perfect".

I was pretty surprised when I got into taking pictures of this assignment. Especially when it got to the "correct" setting. It was usually a little under exposed (white) or over exposed (black).

Assignment #2 Numbers

The Numbers! Assignment was to take pictures of numbers or things that represent numbers from zero to one hundred. Great assignment for about the first twenty to thirty numbers! haha It really pushes you to think outside the box for ideas on numbers. I enjoyed it when I could find something that I thought was really clever. I may just do it again when I have the time!

Assignment #1 Scavenger Hunt

This was the first assignment for my Intro to Photography class. My teacher sent us on a scavenger hunt, mostly just to get us out there and photographing everything! There is also three sets of the same pictures because the idea was to get use to the editing program and learn how to use it for the class. The Raw is pictures as they were taken no enhancements of any kind, The Good is after editing, and The Bad was to see how bad we could make our pictures look but also to teach us all the different things we could do with our editing program.
